Cilla the cat and Pepe the parrot have long gone to pet heaven, but the playful spirit of those childhood companions lives on in Cilla & Pepe, the lingerie label launched by Sydney designer Emma Chappell in late 2007.

“Pretty playwear, sexy sleepwear, luscious lingerie and delicious handmade boudoir accessories,” promises Emma (pictured with her fashion interns). She delivers twice a year with trans-seasonal collections that celebrate femininity to the max and include lots of underwear-as-outerwear options.

For the new season, Emma has again dipped into childhood memories for The Treasure Trove. “The collection recalls the fun of going up into the attic and fossicking around in those great dressing-up treasure chests,” says the former marketing and branding pro.

The range includes camisole, bra and knicker sets, soft-boned bodices, slips, PJs and frilled jersey knit robes – all in fine fabrics from pure cottons and silks, to cotton stretch jersey.

This year marks the 15 year anniversary of Royal Australian Fashion Week (RAFW) and what better way to celebrate this landmark fashion event than from your bedroom. This is exactly what sleepwear label Cilla & Pepé will be doing. They have worked in collaboration with husband and wife team – Adam and Anki Moore of Moore & Moore Beautiful Things at Bondi Beach to recreate a vintage inspired romantic boudoir on their Fashion Week stand.

RAFW is an exclusive industry-only event, made accessible to registered buyers, agents, media, stylists and other fashion industry representatives.
The five day official schedule features designers in on-site and off-site Collection Shows, Emerge, The MCA and the Westin Sydney Suites.
